Gatherings
Some of what we do lives in a card, in an audio file, in the quiet of your own space. And some of it needs a room.
This is where we show up in person — immersions, retreats, conversations, openings. Where the work meets the world and the world meets each other.
Upcoming
Starfishing
A live somatic immersion with Cybele Rowe & Rebekah Vandenberg
High desert — Precise date and location TBD
You know the cards. You’ve sat with one — held the image, let the audio find you, felt whatever it moved in you. You know that something real happens in that encounter, even if you’d struggle to name exactly what.
This is the version of that you can’t download.
Starfishing is a three-to-four hour afternoon immersion built around something we’ve been quietly developing: a one-hour live activation that won’t exist anywhere else. Not a recording. Not a future product. A single afternoon, in the desert, with the people we most want in the room for it.
The setting is the Joshua Tree high desert — A location that dissolves the boundary between inside and outside. Desert light. Open sky. Ground that has held this kind of work for nearly a century.
THE AFTERNOON HOLDS:
An opening conversation — Cybele and Rebekah speaking to the science and philosophy underlying the work. Enough to understand what you’re about to experience. Not so much that you’re in your head when it begins.
Then the activation itself. An hour. Floor-based, fully guided, live voice. Drawing on Rebekah’s Deep Trance Technology™ and forty years of altered states work — and on the somatic architecture of Starfishing specifically: a two-phase process that begins with the body being deeply met, and ends with it being completely released. The posture it takes you into is its name. Spread open, surrendered, weightless. If you’ve experienced a fifteen-minute card activation and wondered what an hour might do — this is that question answered.
After, there’s time. Quiet. Integration. And then — Cybele’s hands in it — a short session with clay. A small talisman made from within the activated state, or just after it. The idea isn’t to make something good. It’s to make something true: a physical record of where you were. The clay is impermanent by design — keep it as it sets, or moisten it and remake it whenever you want. Either way, it carries the memory of the afternoon in its form.
We close together, and then you go back out into the desert.
This is a beta — run as much for our learning as for yours, with the people we most trust to tell us what they notice. There is no charge. We’re asking for your presence, your honesty, and your willingness to be moved.
